The Drive

My two "Road Dogs" as we headed down the
PCH  (Pacific Coast Hwy) in Malibu, CA.
Left: Scruffy Coco, Right: Foxy Cleopatra

As you know I moved across the country. Well I didn't fly, I drove. Myself, my best friend's hubby and his brother all drove across the US. Two cars packed to the nines, four dogs and three humans. I dove my truck with my dog and one of their's and her hubby and brother drove in their car with the other two dogs. Talk about crowded. My little Pomeranian puff ball (Foxy Cleopatra) didn't care where we were going, just that her mommy was there! Now my bf's little Yorkie (Scruffy Coco) had a little bit harder time since her mommy flew there a week earlier and she missed her terribly. But eventually it all worked out and we all made it safe and sound.

It took us six days to do it. We drove for eight hours and then arrived at our destinations, ate and went to bed. We were exhausted at the end of each day, but that's not to say we didn't explore a little.

This is pretty much what it looked like through
CA (once we left Los Angeles), AZ, and  NM .

I guess everything IS big in Texas.
It's the biggest cross I've ever laid my eyes on!
Now that's a statement if I've ever seen one.
Leaving Oklahoma City, This sculpture towers over the I-40.
The bridge behind it is a pedestrian bridge and the sculpture
lights up at night! The sculpture was inspired by the state's
bird the Scissortail Flycatcher! I thought it interesting.

Arkansas
We stopped at a lake with a park to rest and let the dogs out.
This plaque was there.

We drove about 30 min north of Memphis to see and stay
with family, a nice break from the hotels

Remember the movie? If you haven't seen it, rent it. Cute movie.
This is where they filmed it, Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Rain, rain, rain, through Tennessee, Kentucky and W. Virginia

Two words:  "Holy Toledo"!

And after a part of Pennsylvania we finally hit New York
And we made it!

After six long, exhausting days, we finally made it to our destination. We had a great time driving and saw so many beautiful parts of the country. It was a amazing trip and now I hope to see New York, its surrounding states and territories.

Let the adventures continue!
